Services

Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

Surgical Services

Our experienced veterinarians provide many surgical services at our clinic, ranging from routine to advanced procedures. Because we want to ensure that our patients receive the best possible outcome, we occasionally refer them to specialists (board-certified veterinary surgeons) to perform complex operations when advanced equipment or training will be beneficial. Our veterinary team takes every precaution so that your pet receives the highest-quality care. We perform a physical exam and preanesthetic testing before surgery, monitor your pet during surgery, and provide appropriate pain medication to keep your pet comfortable during recovery.

Anesthesia

We make every effort to make anesthesia as safe as possible, especially for our older or higher risk patients. We offer pre-anesthetic bloodwork profiles that can be done in house the same day as the surgical procedure. During anesthesia we monitor multiple vital signs including but not limited to heart rate, respiratory rate, SpO2, CO2, and blood pressure. While your pet is asleep a technician is assigned to monitoring visible vital signs as well the readings on the electronic monitor to make sure you pet is not only safe, but also as pain free as possible during all procedures.

Digital Radiology Services

We offer on site state of the art digital radiographs (x-rays). Digital radiographs allow us to take sharper images that can be enlarged as well as lighten and darken to best visualize different body parts on a single image. This allows us to get diagnostic images with fewer shots reducing your pet's exposure to radiation as well as saving you money. We also have digital dental radiography to improve our ability to diagnose and treat dental disease. Images created in a digital format also make it much easier to make copies of your pet's x-rays for referral or travel if needed.

Tonometry

It is crucial for your pet’s vision that we detect and treat glaucoma and other problems with intraocular pressure (pressure within the eye) as quickly as possible. We can test your dog or cat’s eyes for excess pressure easily and safely. The test, performed with a device called a tonometer, is not painful and does not require sedation.

Ultrasound

Ultrasonography is a noninvasive, pain-free procedure that uses sound waves to examine a pet’s internal organs and other structures inside the body. It can be used to evaluate the animal’s heart, kidneys, liver, gallbladder, and bladder; to detect fluid, cysts, tumors, or abscesses; and to confirm pregnancy or monitor an ongoing pregnancy. While we may need to shave a spot on your pet, ultrasound does not typically require sedation and has no known side effects.
